Whywander

Whywander is a bespoke luxury travel agency created by Reem Shaath following a transformative journey to Bali in 2010. During her stay at COMO Shambhala Estate, her first experience of meditation in the jungle revealed how deeply travel could connect people with nature, place and themselves. She left corporate life to share this more personal and meaningful way of discovering the world.

At a time when travelers from the region were mainly offered familiar cities, beach destinations and standard flight-and-hotel packages, Whywander introduced a different approach. The agency creates tailor-made journeys that encourage clients to explore beyond their usual choices, combining genuine destination knowledge with trusted hotels, restaurants, experiences and long-standing local partners.

The Whywander team personally visits the destinations it recommends and takes time to understand every client’s interests, pace, preferences and group dynamics. This allows its travel designers to anticipate individual needs and create journeys that work for everyone. Many clients return year after year, while most new inquiries come through personal recommendations from travelers who already know and trust the agency.
