Hurlingham Travel is a London-based luxury travel company founded in 2002 and still owned and led by its founder, Andrew Barker. The agency specialises exclusively in tailor-made leisure travel for families, multigenerational groups and couples seeking engaging experiences, personal support and more than a hotel-and-flight package.
In its signature destinations of Norway, Iceland, Japan and South Africa, Hurlingham Travel contracts directly with helicopter pilots, watersports crews, private guides and activity providers rather than routing arrangements through destination management companies. These relationships give the team greater control and allow itineraries to adapt quickly when weather, preferences or circumstances change. When required, a Hurlingham host can accompany clients throughout their journey, coordinating each day and removing the organisational burden from the family.
The company develops its own travel technology, including the POLO invoicing system and an in-house hotel booking engine. Client funds are protected through Hurlingham Travel’s ATOL licence and Travel Trust Association membership. A founding member of The Alliance, the agency also holds preferred-partner status with many leading luxury hotel groups. Its core team of eight travel designers is supported by an extended team of around thirty, working in English, Russian and Lithuanian.
